Install on Shopify

Use a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor.

Status:Script or iframeNot tested yet. Based on Shopify's own embed feature, not yet run by us on a live Shopify site.

Before you start, add the tool from its page or the dashboard and enter your website address. The Install screen gives you the code to copy in the steps below. No DNS record or file is needed.

Steps

  1. Customize your theme

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, Themes, then Customize.

  2. Add a Custom Liquid section

On the page you want, click Add section and choose Custom Liquid.

  3. Paste and save

Paste the code into the Liquid field, click Save and open the page on your store's domain.

Example code

Copy the real code from your widget in the dashboard. It looks like this. The Iframe code has a fixed height of 640 pixels.

<div data-toolsdocks-widget="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></div>
<script async src="https://www.toolsdocks.com/embed/v1.js"></script>

Restrictions and tips

  • Register the domain customers actually see, for example your custom domain. A myshopify.com address is a separate website address.
  • There is no Shopify app for this yet. Do not edit core theme files.

If the tool does not appear

  • Open the page on your registered website address (www and non-www are both included). A staging or preview address is separate.
  • Check that the widget and the website are not paused in the dashboard.
  • If your website sends a Content Security Policy, allow the loader and the frame as described in the installation guide.
