Install on Wix
Wix runs pasted code inside its own frame, so use the iframe code with the Embed a site option.
Status:LimitedNot tested yet. Based on Wix's own embed feature, not yet run by us on a live Wix site.
Before you start, add the tool from its page or the dashboard and enter your website address. The Install screen gives you the code to copy in the steps below. No DNS record or file is needed.
Steps
Add an embed element
In the Wix Editor, click Add, then Embed Code, then Embed a site (website address mode).
Enter the tool address
Choose the iframe code on the Install screen and use the address inside src as the website address.
Resize and publish
Make the element tall enough for the tool (about 640 pixels), publish and open the live site.
Example code
Copy the real code from your widget in the dashboard. It looks like this. The Iframe code has a fixed height of 640 pixels.
<iframe src="https://www.toolsdocks.com/embed/widget/YOUR_WIDGET_ID" title="Tool name" width="100%" height="640" style="border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" allow="clipboard-write"></iframe>
Restrictions and tips
- The Embed HTML (code) mode places the code in a frame on a Wix domain, not on your website, so the script code is refused there.
- This option has not been tested on a live Wix site yet.
If the tool does not appear
- Open the page on your registered website address (www and non-www are both included). A staging or preview address is separate.
- Check that the widget and the website are not paused in the dashboard.
- If your website sends a Content Security Policy, allow the loader and the frame as described in the installation guide.
