Install on WordPress (block editor)
Use a Custom HTML block on the page or post.
Status:Script or iframeNot tested yet. Based on WordPress (block editor)'s own embed feature, not yet run by us on a live WordPress (block editor) site.
Before you start, add the tool from its page or the dashboard and enter your website address. The Install screen gives you the code to copy in the steps below. No DNS record or file is needed.
Steps
Open the page
In WordPress, edit the page or post where the tool should appear.
Add a Custom HTML block
Click the plus button, search for Custom HTML and add the block.
Paste and publish
Paste the code into the block, then click Update or Publish and open the live page.
Example code
Copy the real code from your widget in the dashboard. It looks like this. The Iframe code has a fixed height of 640 pixels.
<div data-toolsdocks-widget="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></div> <script async src="https://www.toolsdocks.com/embed/v1.js"></script>
Restrictions and tips
- Scripts in a Custom HTML block need an account that may post unfiltered HTML (usually an Administrator; on Multisite a Super Admin). If the code is removed when you save, use the iframe code instead.
- On WordPress.com, scripts need a plan that allows plugins and custom code. Do not edit theme files for this.
If the tool does not appear
- Open the page on your registered website address (www and non-www are both included). A staging or preview address is separate.
- Check that the widget and the website are not paused in the dashboard.
- If your website sends a Content Security Policy, allow the loader and the frame as described in the installation guide.
